University Pedagogy Award
The University Pedagogy Award recognises teaching that transforms the student experience at the University of Geneva. Up to three projects are distinguished each year, for a total endowment of CHF 10,000.
Until 2024 it was known as the Pedagogical Innovation Award. After a brief hiatus, it returns in 2026 under this new name.
The deadline was 15.04.2026. Dates for the next edition will be announced on this page; in the meantime, the regulations and the application pack remain available below.
Description and nature of the award
Each year, the University Pedagogy Award recognizes up to three projects, subject to the renewal of financial support by the funder. The total annual grant amounts to 10,000 CHF. If one of the three prizes is not awarded in a given year, it is carried over to the following year, with no possibility of accumulation.
How to apply
First make sure that your application is eligible by referring to the regulations. In particular, it is essential that your project is internal to the University of Geneva and benefits its community. To apply, complete the application form and the accompanying letter, then send them to us by email.
Jury and award decision
Preselection
- The SEA Pole selects a maximum of 10 applications.
Jury evaluation
- 8 members (min.) of the CIP, representing the diversity of UNIGE disciplines
- An expert external to the institution
- A UNIGE student aware of pedagogical issues
Oral presentation & winners
- The leaders of the selected projects present their work
- The jury designates the 3 winners and their ranking
