Patrick Roth

I am responsible for the eLearning pole in the IT division. This pole’s mission is to set up and guarantee the proper functioning of teaching and learning platforms (Moodle, Mediaserver, Portfolio, etc.) useful for teaching and pedagogical innovation.

In parallel to my responsibilities at the eLearning pole, I teach at CUI. This allows me to initiate innovative pedagogical activities (group work, project-based learning, surveys, etc.) and to use the tools we manage at the eLearning center.

For more than 10 years I have been integrating the educational portfolio into my teaching. It is a very powerful pedagogical tool that helps students become aware of the skills they develop in class. This led me to collaborate with the University of Lausanne and UniDistance in the development of SELFPAD, a tool to support the reflective approach.
