Biography
I joined the STIC Division (Information and Communication Systems and Technologies) at the end of 2017. After having managed for 4 years a program for researchers to provide them with digital infrastructures and services to support their work, since last fall I have changed my field of activity by becoming Deputy CIO in charge of digital services for students and teachers.
This goes back to times that people less than twenty years old can’t know, but during the 1990’s, before and during my Ph.D. (related to the application of artificial intelligence techniques to support learning), I was in charge of several courses in the University of Toulouse and Pau. After a stint in Canada and then twenty years in IT project management, I can now return to my original field and see with joy the progress made in the digital ecosystem for learning.
My department’s focus for the next 4-5 years is very clear: innovate with the eCampus program to transform the student experience from registration to graduation. We will have to replace entire sections of the administrative system for academic and extra-academic management, transform its ergonomics by opening it up to the community via mobile applications and of course continue the innovations in eLearning and eAssessment.
