Martin Schlaepfer

As a lecturer at the University of Geneva, I see teaching as an active process in which students fully drive their own learning. My practice combines lectures, flipped classroom, field trips and workshops, with activities such as debates, role-plays and simulations. These approaches help students mobilise their knowledge, compare different points of view and develop critical thinking.

I am also interested in digital tools, notably through creating MOOCs and the flipped classroom. These formats foster student autonomy and free up class time for discussion, applying concepts and solving problems. My aim is to combine academic rigour, practical learning and active participation.
